COMMUNITY & SENIOR CENTER RENOVATION

Settembrino Architects was tasked to provide both interior and exterior renovations to the Borough of Eatontown Senior Center. Exterior renovations consisted of the replacement of the front porch, stair and ramp assemblies, and upgraded toilet rooms.

The HVAC System consisted of 2 heat-only air handling units and 3 cool-only air handling units. Having reached the end of an expected lifespan, the units no longer met current code requirements for ventilation. The system was replaced with 2 heating and cooling units in the attic above the stage area. By utilizing 2 units with programmable thermostats, each unit can be operated independently of the other thus affording energy savings. New high-efficiency at grade condenser units were also utilized as part of this system. The existing single-pane windows were also replaced with new double pane low ‘e’ windows for further improved energy savings.
